Polly Hill, Head of Drama at ITV, Willow Grylls, Executive Producer of White House Farm, Carol Ann Lee, author of true crime book, The Murders at White House Farm, who provided much of the source material for the ITV series, and Emma Cooper, producer of the documentary series The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann discuss what makes a great true crime story, explores how best writers and producers can negotiate sensitive subjects with the families of both victims and perpetrators, and debates whether the genre can influence society’s views on violent crime.
