Louise Millar is a journalist and cofounder of Killer Women. She is the author of four critically acclaimed psychological thrillers published in the UK and US. Her first novel The Playdate, was called a ‘must-read by Sophie Hannah’ and picked by People magazine in the US as a top read. Along with her second and third novels, Accidents Happen and The Hidden Girl, it has been an Amazon top ten best-seller. Her fourth novel City of Strangers, signals her move into international thriller territory and was described by the Sunday Times as ‘brilliantly creepy’.
Before turning to crime fiction, she was Production Editor at Smash Hits, Senior Editor at Marie Claire, and has written for the Guardian, Telegraph, Observer and Sunday Times. As a journalist, she has interviewed hundreds of women affected by crime, leading to her interest in the psychology of the subject. Originally from Glasgow, now living in Suffolk, she is currently working on her fifth novel, another international thriller.
